I am so excited to be sharing deets on a new (to me) wearable device that you’re going to absolutely love, in this in-depth Apollo Neuro review post!
I first discovered the Apollo Neuro wearable device through an Instagram ad—they got me good! I was so intrigued by how this little device could reduce stress and improve sleep by delivering gentle vibrations.
It reminded me of the concept of “tapping,” where you lightly tap on certain points on your face and body to help relieve stress and signal safety to the brain.
You know that I’m always looking for ways to be more efficient, and that includes making sure I’m not spinning my wheels with unnecessary stress or clutter in my mind.
Getting better sleep and having more energy in the mornings was also super appealing to me—I’m always looking for ways to enhance my REM sleep (and according to their research page, Apollo reports 14% average increase in REM sleep)!
I feel like especially after everything we’ve been through with this panny, we’re all living in a state of chronic stress—whether it’s high or low stress, it’s always…there. Lurking. So the idea of reducing stress through touch therapy was really interesting to me.
I was so excited to try out the Apollo, and I’ve been using it consistently, every day, for a few weeks now. So I can confidently say it’s working for me and I’m loving this device!
So, let’s get into my Apollo Neuro review, including how it works and my personal experience with using Apollo!

What is the Apollo wearable?
Apollo is a new kind of wearable that improves your body’s resilience to stress (here for it!) so you can relax, sleep, focus, recover, and stay healthy. In short, it helps your nervous system calm TF down so you can be a more mindful version of yourself.
You can wear the Apollo device on your wrist or ankle. I do a mix of both, and depending on what I’m doing prefer one location over the other. For example, while I’m sleeping I like to wear it on my ankle, but during the day I like to have it on my wrist for easy access.
The device works by engaging with your sense of touch. It delivers silent, soothing vibrations that help you feel safe and in control. It helps to train your nervous system to bounce back from stress more quickly, going from “fight or flight” to “rest and digest.”
Benefits of the Apollo
The Apollo wearable was developed by neuroscientists and physicians, and it’s been proven to improve:
– heart rate variability (HRV), a key biometric of stress resilience
– deep sleep and REM sleep
– focus
– stress recovery
How does Apollo Neuro work?
Rather than tracking your health, the Apollo wearable is proven to actively improve it. As it strengthens and rebalances your autonomic nervous system, your heart rate variability (HRV) improves – which means you’re building your resilience to stress. So you spend less time in fight-or-flight mode and get more time to rest and digest. Over time, your body learns to recover from stress more quickly, so you can relax, sleep better, and find deep, meaningful focus – anytime and anywhere.
Just like working out, consistency is key. Apollo recommends using the device for 3+ hours a day, 5+ days a week, which is what I’ve been doing over the last few weeks. And, the more you use it, the better it works.
Are there studies that show its effectiveness?
You read my mind. This was the first thing I wanted to see when considering trying the Apollo—show me the data!
Apollo Neuro’s stress-relieving technology has been tested across thousands of users in the clinic and in the real world through six complete clinical trials, with nine more currently underway. On average, they have seen:
– 40% less stress and feelings of anxiety
– 11% increase in HRV
– Up to 25% more focus and concentration
– 19% more time in deep sleep
In one of the studies, participants volunteered to share their biometric data tracked by the Oura Ring (another wearable health device I’ve been eyeing, lol), including their cardiovascular and sleep metrics while they used their Apollo Neuro for sleep, focus, and stress recovery.
The results? Consistent Apollo users experienced:
19% average increase in deep sleep
14% average increase in REM sleep
6% average increase in total sleep time
11% average increase in HRV
4% average decrease in resting heart rate
Rather than tracking your health, the Apollo wearable is proven to actively improve it. Wearing it helps to strengthen and rebalance your autonomic nervous system and your heart rate variability improves. Which means you’re building your resilience to stress.
I’m all about spending less time in fight-or-flight mode (we all know that feeling), and more time in a restful state. So the idea of my body learning to recover from stress more quickly is super appealing to me.
How I’ve Been Using Apollo
As I mentioned, I’ve been using my Apollo consistently over the last few weeks for at least a few hours a day.
When I first unboxed it, I gave it a charge and then synced it up with the app on my iPhone. I tried out a bunch of different modes over the next few days and then set up an automated schedule so I don’t even have to think about it. Here’s how my schedule currently looks:
Morning: Energy and Wake Up
2PM: Clear and Focused
Early Evening: Relax and Unwind
10PM: Sleep and Renew
I’ll also use Meditation and Mindfulness for 15 minutes when I meditate every afternoon, and if I’ve gotten in an evening workout, I’ll do Rebuild and Recover afterward. If Omied and I are hanging out, chatting in the backyard over a glass of wine and a charcuterie board, I’ll turn on the Social and Open mode.
My Results
While I don’t have an Oura Ring to track my biometrics before and after using the Apollo, I can feel a noticeable difference and improvement in my stress levels, which is a huge win in my book!
I’ve been working on a big launch for What The Fab, and making some key, strategic decisions for my brand and business that are frankly, stressful. But I feel like I’ve been navigating them with more ease (and less rapid heart rate) than I normally would. Which is huge!
I also feel like little things that would usually stress me out are less bothersome to me. Or maybe they still annoy me, but the window of time that I feel annoyed/stressed by them has shortened. For example, a potential agency partner was jerking me around over email and going back and forth on things, and normally I would be angry and stressed about this for most of the day. But instead, I fired off an email, moved on with my life, and forgot about it, lol.
I’ve really been enjoying using the Apollo, and I definitely plan on continuing to consistently use it. If you’d like to try the Apollo too, you can use the code WTFAB10 for 10% off!
