We just spent the last week in Cancun for a wedding and let’s just say, we had our fair share of Margaritas! Summer wouldn’t be complete without sipping on an icy Margarita in the sun with friends. And even though it’s not technically summer yet, it’s definitely starting to feel like it in good ol’ Cali. Since I tried about a dozen different versions of Margaritas on our trip, I’m in the mood to make some at home to enjoy with friends for Cinco de Mayo, and I’ve decided that nothing can beat the classic Marg for me. So I’m making some Sauza-ritas with Sauza tequila to celebrate over the weekend! If you want to make some too, here’s what you’ll need:
Sauza Tequila
1 can limeade
1 bottle light beer
1 can water
1 bottle light beer
1 can water
Ice
Salt
Lime
Combine 1 can of limeade with Sauza tequila (I poured the limeade in a pitcher and then filled half the can with tequila and added that, but you can fill the whole can if you’re feeling frisky). Fill the can with water and add that, and add the beer as well. Either serve over ice or combine with ice in a blender. Wet the rims of your glasses with water, and dip the rims in salt. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy your Sauza-rita!
Sometimes, life just calls for a Sauza-rita. Like when you receive a text at work about your BFF’s upcoming bachelorette party stripper situation, and your multi-tasking self accidentally types “I’ll have the finished doc stripper by noon today” in an email to a co-worker. If that’s not a margarita moment, I don’t know what is. Oh well, I’ll look forward to sharing a laugh over this and other #MargaritaMoments with friends over this coming Cinco de Mayo weekend!
Nothing’s more relaxing than a cool desert breeze blowing across your tired shoulders. Oh wait. That’s the breath of a man who has something very important to tell you. He’s the cowboy. And he’s here to help you relax after a hard day on the ranch. When he’s not rounding up baby cattle, he’s rounding up ingredients for the perfect Sauza®-rita.
