Happy Monday! In partnership with Zappos I styled my new Paige jeans and Freebird boots for a SundayFunday in the city yesterday. Even though it was unseasonably warm for November, there was a crispness in the air that was unmistakably fall, and I was so excited to finally feel the change in seasons. I couldn’t wait to slip on a cozy sweater and my new boots and jeans. When I stuck my first foot into one of these boots, I could tell they were of a quality that I have literally never felt before. After reading more about the brand, I now know why. Freebird boots are handcrafted, using a traditional Goodyear construction. Not sure what Goodyear means when it comes to shoes? I wasn’t either. It’s when stacks of leather are hammered together and carefully stitched to make a pretty much indestructible sole. Apparently it’s a technique that has been used to create the highest quality boots for centuries.

Now, let’s talk about these jeans. They are so incredibly soft and comfortable. I also found them to be really flattering, so they basically have all three of the key components I look for in a killer pair of jeans. I also found out that Paige Adams-Geller is the only female founder in the denim industry. A female founder who aims to challenge convention and infuse her colorful spirit into every collection she designs? So down with that.

It’s fitting that I’m partnering with Zappos today, because I was just chatting with a coworker about Tony Hsieh’s (CEO of Zappos) book, Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose. The book is all about how an emphasis on corporate culture can lead to success. As a brand, Zappos is focused on not only the clothing they sell, but also community, culture and customer service. While Zappos started as an e-commerce site for shoes 15 years ago, they’re now so much more, with styles from over 1,000 brands.
