This post is sponsored by Wedding Paper Divas. The photos and thoughts are all my own.
It’s been a while since my last Wedding Wednesday update (we launched our wedding site, yay!), probably because Omied and I have both been so busy with work. But we’re still squeezing in some planning here and there when we can, and we’re currently tackling invitations. When Wedding Paper Divas reached out to me to partner on a post, I couldn’t say yes fast enough! I’ve browsed their selection years before I ever even got engaged. When I was in grad school a friend had her bridal shower and wedding invitations printed through Wedding Paper Divas, and I remember scrolling through their beautiful selections, thinking about the day that I’d finally get to pick out wedding invites of my own.
Now that time has finally come, I’m seriously so thankful to have Wedding Paper Divas as a resource. What did people do before this site?? There’s so much that goes into wedding invites, and WPD makes it easy to have a pulled together aesthetic across your stationery. I ordered some of their samples, and they’re just so pretty!
Side note: How cute are these mini cupcakes and macarons? We happened to have these adorable sweets at home and it just felt wrong not to include them in the shoot.
There are so many invitation options, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you first start looking. And I don’t just mean designs, but paper weight, matte or glossy, envelopes, envelope lining, cut and shape of the card…All these tiny details that I never would have thought of. Getting the samples from Wedding Paper Divas was really helpful (bonus: they’re free!), and we were able to narrow down the type of paper we want to use. We’re still deciding on the design, but it will likely not be too “froo-frooey” (as Omied likes to say) and more clean/minimalist. I’ll be sure to share photos in the coming months on the winning design!
