Eide shoma mobarak! That’s Farsi for Happy New Year. Persians celebrate the new year on the first day of spring, which I love because there are so many things to look forward to with the spring season. Warmer weather, pretty pastels, nature blooming.
Today I’m sharing a springy look and a few beauty products from Target that I use when getting ready. Every. Single. Day. They’re the foundation to my look, and I may add other components if I’m getting dressed up for an event, but these basics can always be found in my beauty arsenal.
When I’m getting ready in the morning, I start with a couple dabs of concealer and then add a matte foundation. For my eyes, I like black, smudge-proof eyeliner, and a few coats of mascara to emphasize my long lashes. For lips, lip balm and a peachy color and I’m good to go. I also feel pretty naked without a fun color on my nails, so I reach for long-lasting polishes like Orly Color Amp’d.
To be honest, I really don’t spend much time on my hair in the mornings on weekdays. I gotta get out the door, people! I like to wrap it up in a low bun, and shake it out a few hours later so that my usually straight hair has some body and waves to it.
This look has a super easy equation behind it that’s easy to replicate. Pretty floral print skirt + fun graphic tee = perfection.
