Happy (almost) holidays! I wore this outfit for a busy day of holiday shopping in the city this past weekend. It was a super chilly day (well, chilly for San Francisco ;)) so we stopped in a really cute Asian comfort food restaurant in the Mission called Spice Jar—yummy ramen on a cold San Francisco day is just the best—and fueled up for a day of shopping. Velvet is my absolute favorite trend this season and I’ve been on the lookout for new pieces to add to my closet. This flowy velvet top has been a favorite mine lately, and I’m thinking I need to throw a velvet dress into the mix…maybe for New Years Eve?
We headed straight to Union Square in San Francisco to the epicenter of holiday shopping craziness, and while it was busy there’s also something so festive and fun about shopping there this time of year, even with all of the crowds. The huge tree and lights are up, there are puppies and kittens in storefront windows up for adoption (awww!), and with a festive drink in hand (like my personal favorite this time of year, a peppermint mocha) there’s lots of Christmas cheer in the air. While were shopping we popped into some of the hotels to see this year’s gingerbread house extravaganza. Our first stop was Bloomingdale’s Union Square, where we checked out Casio’s Vintage Collection that’s exclusively available there. These pieces are classics that never go out of style and complement any outfit. I’m wearing mine in this outfit post, paired with my velvet top and stacked with a gold bracelet. The watches in this Vintage Collection are a great gift for someone special on your holiday list that would appreciate the combo of fashion and function, and a touch of nostalgia. And they’re super affordable watches, at $65.You can check out Casio’s full Vintage Collection at Bloomingdale’s Union Square and surprise your loved ones with one of their vintage timepieces this holiday season! And if you’re curious to see more inspiration, like how other people are styling their Casio watches, you can find them on social on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
